The college of life!

To open this post I thought a picture of Amy and I on our "fake" first day. It seems that it would be a good thing to start with. So here it is...notice we are both wearing our backpacks...yes we are college students! (Even though I have braces.)

Well, I figured since I've been at college for about two weeks now I am really a college student so I feel that I should enlighten you all of my wonderful adventures at BYU-Idaho! Well, my room mate Elaine and I left on a beautiful Thursday morning at 6am. ( Yes I said 6am, those of you who know me know I am not a morning person AT ALL so this alone is a feat for me...) And ever since we arrived in our wonderful apartment, (#305 yes this is our front door!)
We have been up to all kinds of great adventures together. So, in order to tell you about my life here I have decided to make a list of things I have learned here at BYU-Idaho in only the past two weeks.

#1- When parents offer to buy you groceries...stock up! ( on everything!!!)

This is my shelf of the refrigerator!
Full then, not so much now! And below is my shelf of regular non refrigerated/frozen foods!

#2- Milk is expensive.
#3- Toilet Paper goes really REALLY fast! ( as I result I am rationing out toilet paper to my roommates. Only two squares!)
#4- Never ride the Salt Lake Express without charging your i-pod first.
#5- 7 am is way to early for any class to begin.
#6- Broulim's is the only decent grocery store here.

#7- For some odd reason Walmart is always busy.

#8- I actually enjoy washing dishes. (surprised mom?)

#9- Pranks are a must (only to Amy!)
#10- Its easy to do laundry when there's 20 washing machines.
#11- I can take a nap whenever I want!!! ( no real interruptions...except that annoying car alarm across the street!)

#12- College isn't as scary as I thought it would be.
#13- Question? Where has long boarding been all my life???

#14- Textbooks are hilarious! (or I'm really easily entertained) oh and expensive!

#15- Food/ cookies are the way to get boys to do you a favor.
#16- Where ever there is free food, that is where you should be!
#17- Legs are very useful... Walking isn't as hard as I always assumed it was! (I'm working on my fitness!)
#18- Homework can bring you happiness! Weird I know.....
#19- I have mad fly catching skills. ( I caught one in mid flight in our living room!)
#20- Everyone here is nice!
#21- Always close the door/windows when changing, this also includes not standing by the door when changing. You never know who is sitting at the kitchen counter.

But in all honesty I have learned more about myself and others. Each day I am here on this campus my testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ grows and is strengthened. I learned to be independent and that going to class is my choice and its up to me to make myself some din din. I've learned that I am truly a shy person... being around the same people all my life was just to much of a comfort zone for me. I love being here and I am sad that I have to go home in December until summer semester! Well, I've included some pictures and I guess I'll tell you what they are as I go along...so here it goes ( and there's a lot of them...)

To begin...this is me....Jenny.... oh how I am easily entertained! HOT? well yes!

This is my beautiful closet...good thing it is really BIG!

This is my bed... yes, where I slumber nightly!
(and yes Elvis is above my bed, not behind the door!)

This is mine and Elaine's bedroom door, not that you care, but I like it!

This is my wonderful study area, also known as a desk!

Below you will see the beautiful cake Elaine made in her cake decorating class. She is such a dear, I went home for one day ( I was there for 4 hours) and I had a welcome home cake!

He he he! This is a little prank we pulled on Amy! When she got her new laptop we made it so that when she turned it on there was a voice that would talk to her in a creepy stockerish voice (we named him Stuart). I wish we had a picture of her face the first time she turned it on! (Thanks for the idea Jake!)

This is just funny because its a picture of Amy I am drew on the white board... hilarious!

Quote from the profound and all wisdom knowing Tyrel!
(also self proclaimed dating guru!)

This is my roommate Elaine ironing for the first time!

This is Amy with her fancy new Mac Computer, Yes I'm jealous!

The first prank we pulled on Amy... a classic scenario of frozen toothbrushes... the sad part is that she really didn't care because she has some secret stash of hundred's of toothbrushes!

These are the toothbrushes....yes that is plural...she had two in her drawer, frozen rock solid!

This is Amy and I and our roommates the first day we were all together in our new little home in Rexburg! (Sharlee, Julia, Amy, Me Jenny, Elaine, and Ashley)

This Amy, Elaine and I after we picked our pre-reserved books from the new BYU-I bookstore!

My momma and pops took the three of us out for some delicious lunch! hmmmm!

Well, I hope you followed all that...it was really scatter brained and had no real order! I am having a great time and learning so much! I love school! Whaaaahahhahahaha!

I guess college is alright?!

Well... I have finally arrived in the great state of Idaho. It was a very short drive since we left at 6AM! ya that's right 6 in the morning but it was definitely worth it! Elaine and I are pretty much roommates that are perfect....her half of the room is pink, my half blue and we both have a lot of shoes... what more could a girl want? Let's say rebelling in Idaho is an easy task...for example today Ealine and I didn't want to go to this thing on campus and we were supposed to meet our group so she put on flip-flops and I went shoeless and that was settled...we are officially rebels... I guess? Easy...oh so easy! Well, let's see what else...well our room mates are all great girls and seem fun. ( iguess I have an advantage knowing 3 of them already right?) Well, we will see how much I will really like it once the real work starts and I get buried in the books ( which only cost about 5 Jacksons.. I know a real miracle!!!) Yeah school!!!!!
