Gotta go, gotta go, gotta go right now!

Well...this little blurb goes out to all you people who ever have to go to the bathroom really really bad, but have to keep on holding it!

Tonight my family and I went out on a little adventure to the movies and out to dinner. We saw bedtime stories, a funny family film which I totally and completely enjoyed. Then our family decided to go out to dinner to Archibald's which was absolutely delicious. The only problem is that I am addicted to fluids...mainly water. I drank three glasses of water and one glass of raspberry lemonade, resulting in me really needing to you know, to the bathroom.

Let's just say that all the way home I got a really hard time about how I should have gone before I left and I will admit that they are right, but a girls gotta go when a girls gotta go.

One last thing, a word of advice if I may... Go before you leave.

Home Again

I moved back home last Friday. Weird! I n my mind it seems that i am only home for the weekend and will be going back to my dear sweet Rexburg any day now. But, this is so not true. I am now home in snowy Utah until April, don't get me wrong, I love it here. But, I am going to miss being able to do whatever I want and having a life. I am already bored. My daily schedule consists of waking up, going to work at 9, coming home, eating dinner and going to bed. Wow...exciting! No really I like my job and work with a lot of really nice people. But, I need to find a new hobby to keep me occupied while I am here in Utah, so if anyone has any suggestions make sure to let me know!!!

Tid Bits

This week I have learned a lot.

First of all, did you know that when you lose weight your feet shrink so that your body is stable? I know, I was baffled at this also. It doesn't make much sense to me seeing that in ninth grade I had feet two shoe sizes bigger than they are now? But, this is how it was explained to me. I was still growing then and I have since stopped growing. Still makes no sense, but whatever.

Second, a good haircut can make a world of difference. Yes, Amy and I went out on a whim and both cut our hair. And...I absolutely love it! I feel like a new woman.

Third, as tragic as it is, it's still funny when your roommate drops their cell phone in the toilet while the toilet is being flushed. Yes, this did happen. My roommate Sharlee flushed the toilet and when she turned around her cell phone proceeded to fall from her pocket into a sea of water and human waste. It continued down the sewer system to make friends with dead fish, poop, rotten veggies, people's spare change, and anything else that makes its way into the sewer. As sad as this is, I think its hilarious that Amy told me to go help Sharlee. What am I supposed to help her with? It was already to late by the time I arrived on the scene, Sharlee's cell phone was long gone, but we flushed the toilet one last time for good measure. Oh Sharlee!

Fourth, boys will never get the hint. Good hints, bad hints, nothing. They will never get it! (someone should tell them!)

Oh life!

Simple Pleasures, SImple Minds, My simple life!

Oh simple pleasures...
Upon arrival home from church I came to the realization of how simple I really am and how the simplest things make me laugh harder than they probably should. My day began with a very simple laugh. I was slumbering away in my bed when there was a knock on the door, and I sarcastically yelled "If its someone coming to get fast offerings shoot them." And of course it was and after this remark left my mouth I realized how truly awful it was and that that would just be ridiculous, so I made a small chuckle to myself of how lame and rude that was. I realized how much I am not a morning person and hate being woke up.
Then I decided that I was hungry so I proceeded to eat Steele's left over ribs from Applebee's and I realized that ribs aren't something humans usually eat for breakfast and yet I was so happy about it. Yet again a very simple pleasure for my simple mind. But as the day went on things only got better.
I began to get ready for church and my roommate Elaine was getting dressed and wanted to wear my ever so professional looking sweater vest. She asked if her outfit looked good and I just had to laugh, it looked truly ridiculous and I am still laughing about it as I think. Oh hilarious! (no offense Elaine, but honestly!)
Then I was listening to the relief society lesson and the girl in front of me started sniffing the Bubblicious gum the teacher had passed around to see which kind she wanted. Don't get me wrong but I don't want a piece of bubble gum that's been practically up someone's nose, and she deliberated about it for like 5 minutes, that's a lot of time to be sniffing bubble gum!
In Sunday school Jordan's stomach kept growling super loud which brought a grin to my face, but I personally loved when Elaine was talking about Adam and Eve and her concluding sentence was "And that's how we began." I don't know why but I started to tear up with laughter and it just made me extremely happy (not mention giggly).
I won't go into extreme detail about all the simple things I love and how hilarious some things are to me, but I'm not sure if its normal for someone to laugh over an answering machine message for a good half an hour. (oh heaven's Charlie Zollinger!) Or if it's healthy to laugh about plunging toilets. If college kids should really love watching cartoons and ninja turtles, drinking vanilla milk, and playing candyland, but all I know is its the simple things in life that bring me so much joy.
Simple pleasures for simple minds!

The Lord's Constant Hand

I decided since its been a really long time since I updated everything it was about time I did. Well, a lot has happened the past few weeks, well actually months. I've been increasingly busy with school and absolutely love it here at BYU-Idaho. Being here at this school has been more than a blessing in my life. While being here I am constantly reminded of the truthfulness of the gospel of Jesus Christ and His great atoning love for me. I feel the spirit daily and know with all my heart of the truthfulness of God's eternal plan for me. Each week as I attend our campus "devo" (devotional) I am reminded of all the people and leaders of the church who are so in tune with everything going on in the world and know exactly what to say, teach and exemplify to help me specifically.
I have learned that I can turn to the Lord for anything, everything and know that he always has a hand in what I am doing. He created everything so who better to go to than Him when I have questions or problems with anything, including homework.
A cool experience I want to share is only part of what is testified to me daily as I rely on the Lord for strength and guidance. Me, being a freshmen didn't know that I should not take a class at 7 am. I am not a morning person and I know better than to sign up for an early class, but I insisted on doing it. I signed up for a New Testament class on Tuesday's and Thursday's at 7am. For the first few weeks I really struggled to stay awake during class and was constantly tired and would do the typical head bob. The final straw of all my frustration was when I realized I forgot about a test for the class. I decided something needed to change and that I needed to be awake and alert in order to obtain the knowledge I wanted so badly. Late one night I humbled myself to go to the Lord with what seemed like a silly problem to me. I kneeled down next to my bed and went to my Heavenly Father in sincere prayer asking for help to stay awake so that I may learn in my early morning class the next day. The next morning I woke up and kneeled again asking again for His help. Remarkably, with a lot of effort, I stayed awake all of class and have every class since. I continue to learn and grow and recognize my Heavenly Father's love for me more and more every day. I'm so grateful that I can go to Him for anything even when it seems silly and meaningless to me, I know that my Heavenly Father cares and will help me in ALL that I do.
I wonder often where I would be without the gospel and know that I would not be anywhere without the Lord and His love for me individually and his love for my family. Each and every day I am grateful for the many blessings I have and the gospel truths of which I know to be true.

The college of life!

To open this post I thought a picture of Amy and I on our "fake" first day. It seems that it would be a good thing to start with. So here it is...notice we are both wearing our backpacks...yes we are college students! (Even though I have braces.)

Well, I figured since I've been at college for about two weeks now I am really a college student so I feel that I should enlighten you all of my wonderful adventures at BYU-Idaho! Well, my room mate Elaine and I left on a beautiful Thursday morning at 6am. ( Yes I said 6am, those of you who know me know I am not a morning person AT ALL so this alone is a feat for me...) And ever since we arrived in our wonderful apartment, (#305 yes this is our front door!)
We have been up to all kinds of great adventures together. So, in order to tell you about my life here I have decided to make a list of things I have learned here at BYU-Idaho in only the past two weeks.

#1- When parents offer to buy you groceries...stock up! ( on everything!!!)

This is my shelf of the refrigerator!
Full then, not so much now! And below is my shelf of regular non refrigerated/frozen foods!

#2- Milk is expensive.
#3- Toilet Paper goes really REALLY fast! ( as I result I am rationing out toilet paper to my roommates. Only two squares!)
#4- Never ride the Salt Lake Express without charging your i-pod first.
#5- 7 am is way to early for any class to begin.
#6- Broulim's is the only decent grocery store here.

#7- For some odd reason Walmart is always busy.

#8- I actually enjoy washing dishes. (surprised mom?)

#9- Pranks are a must (only to Amy!)
#10- Its easy to do laundry when there's 20 washing machines.
#11- I can take a nap whenever I want!!! ( no real interruptions...except that annoying car alarm across the street!)

#12- College isn't as scary as I thought it would be.
#13- Question? Where has long boarding been all my life???

#14- Textbooks are hilarious! (or I'm really easily entertained) oh and expensive!

#15- Food/ cookies are the way to get boys to do you a favor.
#16- Where ever there is free food, that is where you should be!
#17- Legs are very useful... Walking isn't as hard as I always assumed it was! (I'm working on my fitness!)
#18- Homework can bring you happiness! Weird I know.....
#19- I have mad fly catching skills. ( I caught one in mid flight in our living room!)
#20- Everyone here is nice!
#21- Always close the door/windows when changing, this also includes not standing by the door when changing. You never know who is sitting at the kitchen counter.

But in all honesty I have learned more about myself and others. Each day I am here on this campus my testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ grows and is strengthened. I learned to be independent and that going to class is my choice and its up to me to make myself some din din. I've learned that I am truly a shy person... being around the same people all my life was just to much of a comfort zone for me. I love being here and I am sad that I have to go home in December until summer semester! Well, I've included some pictures and I guess I'll tell you what they are as I go along...so here it goes ( and there's a lot of them...)

To begin...this is me....Jenny.... oh how I am easily entertained! HOT? well yes!

This is my beautiful closet...good thing it is really BIG!

This is my bed... yes, where I slumber nightly!
(and yes Elvis is above my bed, not behind the door!)

This is mine and Elaine's bedroom door, not that you care, but I like it!

This is my wonderful study area, also known as a desk!

Below you will see the beautiful cake Elaine made in her cake decorating class. She is such a dear, I went home for one day ( I was there for 4 hours) and I had a welcome home cake!

He he he! This is a little prank we pulled on Amy! When she got her new laptop we made it so that when she turned it on there was a voice that would talk to her in a creepy stockerish voice (we named him Stuart). I wish we had a picture of her face the first time she turned it on! (Thanks for the idea Jake!)

This is just funny because its a picture of Amy I am drew on the white board... hilarious!

Quote from the profound and all wisdom knowing Tyrel!
(also self proclaimed dating guru!)

This is my roommate Elaine ironing for the first time!

This is Amy with her fancy new Mac Computer, Yes I'm jealous!

The first prank we pulled on Amy... a classic scenario of frozen toothbrushes... the sad part is that she really didn't care because she has some secret stash of hundred's of toothbrushes!

These are the toothbrushes....yes that is plural...she had two in her drawer, frozen rock solid!

This is Amy and I and our roommates the first day we were all together in our new little home in Rexburg! (Sharlee, Julia, Amy, Me Jenny, Elaine, and Ashley)

This Amy, Elaine and I after we picked our pre-reserved books from the new BYU-I bookstore!

My momma and pops took the three of us out for some delicious lunch! hmmmm!

Well, I hope you followed all that...it was really scatter brained and had no real order! I am having a great time and learning so much! I love school! Whaaaahahhahahaha!

I guess college is alright?!

Well... I have finally arrived in the great state of Idaho. It was a very short drive since we left at 6AM! ya that's right 6 in the morning but it was definitely worth it! Elaine and I are pretty much roommates that are perfect....her half of the room is pink, my half blue and we both have a lot of shoes... what more could a girl want? Let's say rebelling in Idaho is an easy task...for example today Ealine and I didn't want to go to this thing on campus and we were supposed to meet our group so she put on flip-flops and I went shoeless and that was settled...we are officially rebels... I guess? Easy...oh so easy! Well, let's see what else...well our room mates are all great girls and seem fun. ( iguess I have an advantage knowing 3 of them already right?) Well, we will see how much I will really like it once the real work starts and I get buried in the books ( which only cost about 5 Jacksons.. I know a real miracle!!!) Yeah school!!!!!

Is college all that great?

Well...today I had the sudden realization that college isn't going to just be all fun and games...yup that's right...for all you people out there who haven't considered that going to college incorporates learning stuff in classes...I hate to break it to you but it does. As I walked out to the mailbox today still in my sweatpants and t-shirt I wasn't expecting to receive anything in the mail ( unless it was money? *I keep my fingers crossed*) but instead I got a lovely letter from my English teacher...the one that teaches college students! YA!!!! that one and I was like wait I'm not in college this can't be for me....but it sure was! right there across the front in blue letters it said Jennifer Worthington. So then I proceeded to log onto my BYU-Idaho student account and sure thing I have an assignment and some 800 page book to read by the first day of class! Well....that's it I probably will die of stress before I get through my first semester of college! So I leave Mr. Chunkers to Heather and everything else I leave up to me mommy to distribute equally to my siblings and friends! (make sure all my Elvis stuff is given to those who will truly cherish it!) This is my final good bye for when I die of stress due to the wonderful world of college classes!

Bear Lake

Yesterday I traveled through Wyoming and into the the great land of Bear Lake...It was pretty fun... considering I just got braces on yesterday. As soon as I arrived all the girls in my ward wanted to take me out caneoing so out we headed... the further out we went the more impossible it seemed that we would be able to paddle back. I said "Hey guys let's go grab that seaweed." So away we paddled... I reached down to grab the seaweed... but oh geeze it wasn't seaweed at all but a lot and I mean a a lot of these giant yellow fish. We were so excited we almost tipped the canoe over. The trip was mostly just fun and games. But...I definitely need to hand it to Ethan, who insisted on using all the firewood we brought, and built a giant bonfire ( It's probably still burning up there!) With such a giant fire who could resist some Chinese fire writing... and kudos goes out to Adam for the answer of "BUTTERFANGER" and the word choice of onion. ( not an easy word to try and sound out.) Well that's it...Bear Lake is the bomb.com
