Chicago is a comin'....

Last year around this time I was preparing for my first trip to Chicago with BYU-Idaho to go help with a summer camp, called Summer Jam, for inner city girls. It was an amazing experience that I wouldn't trade for anything. At the end of camp I knew that I would be back again. So.... After almost a year of preparing, Chicago Summer Jam 2011 will be here in a little more than a week. I am excited, nervous, and ready to go. It's one of those things where I have been working for months doing my best to be prepared and my best to make sure all the wonderful girls Lady Berg and I found to bring along are prepared. There have been a lot of ups and downs in the preparation process, so my fingers are crossed that all the hard work pays off. I know it will, but I always get nervous when I'm so far into something if anyone will come, anyone will care, or if people will understand how much I really care about it. We have many great plans up our sleeve for the girls of Chicago and a few "great great"  plans for ourselves while we are there.

Summer Jam here we come!!!  I am ready!
I can hardly wait to see smiles on all the Chicago girls faces, to talk with them, to tell them stories, to listen to their stories, to laugh with them, and to share with them the experience of a lifetime. Look at them, aren't they just so cute?!?
